Imphal, December 12: Troops of 7th Bn CRPF seized a consignment of 184.1 kgs of Ganja which was being taken from Imphal to Silchar along the National Highway 53 on December 10 during routine checking at Nungba in Tamenglong district.

According to a statement issued by Officer Commanding of E/130 Bn CRPF today, the Ganja contained in 25 polythene packets was found concealed in the driver's cabin of two trucks bearing registration nos.MN-01-6204 and MN01-5047.The drivers and handymen of the seized trucks have been identified as S Roopchandra (25) s/o S Khambaton Singh, Sova Singh (35) s/o Girani Singh, both residents of Khonghampat, Md Nasimuddin (24) s/o Harisa Ali, Abdul Haq (26) s/o Harisa Ali, both residents of Sonapur, Jiribam; N Surjit Singh s/o N Mangi, resident of Khurai Thangjam Leikai.
