Imphal, December 29: A one day networking cum advocacy programme on the theme of 'Combating of trafficking of girl child for sexual exploitation' was held at Hotel Imphal here today.

Organised under the aegis of Society for Progressive Development (SPD), the inaugural function of the advocacy programme was attended by Deputy Director/Women Development Officer of Social Welfare Surender A Shishak as chief guest and former Adhyaksha of Imphal East Zilla Parishad M Babita as functional president.

The president of All Manipur NGOs Forum Dr K Pauchungbou and president of SPD S Ibohanbi were also present at the occasion as guests of honour.

Many resource persons and representatives of women organisations attended the programme.
