Reacting to the allegation that a jury member of the 14th Inter-College Patriotic Competition organised by Manipur University awarded marks in a biased manner, organisers of the competition refuted the allegation as baseless.
Speaking to reporters at MUSU office this afternoon, convenor of the organising committee Ph Ibosana maintained that the competition was held in a transparent manner.
Immediately after the competition was over, mark tabulation was done in the open.
Moreover, it was also announced that any competitor desiring that to see his/her marks could do so.
Second prize winner of the competition S Iraileima who represented Imphal College was also present during the press meet.
Asking the Imphal College Students' Union to substantiate or clarify their allegation of the jury member being biased within five days, the organisers warned that Imphal College will not be allowed to participate in any future inter-college competitions organised by Manipur University in case the Imphal College Students' Union failed to come up with an explanation within the stipulated time.
