Flatly rejecting the news report about the death of two KRA cadres in the gun battle with KLA cadres at Khupibung village under Saikul police station yesterday, KRA Information and Publicity secretary Th Misao has clarified that there were no deaths on the part of KRA except for a minor injury to one of its cadres.
Speaking to reporters today, Misao conveyed that a combined force of KNA and a faction of KLA have been harassing villagers and indulging in anti-social activities in contravention of revolutionary principle at Khupibung which is allegedly operational area of KRA.
Yesterday's gun battle ensued when a team of 17 KRA cadres was sent to the village to flush out the anti-social elements, he disclosed.
There was no death on the part of KRA except for a minor injury to one cadre, Misao clarified while suggesting that there might be casualties among the cadres of KNA and the KLA faction.
He further claimed that all the cadres of KNA and KLA faction have been flushed out from the area.
Meanwhile, the KLA PRO has conveyed that the report about two KRA men killed in yesterday's gun battle with KLA cadres at Khupibung under Saikul police station was concluded from the statements of local villagers and spilled over blood observed in some spots.
He claimed that the KLA cadres also recovered some magazines and some live
rounds from the site.
