Imphal, March 24 2009: Organisation secretary, BJP, Chandrasekhar Rao today while announcing that the Central Election Committee of the party has decided to field Loli Adanee to contest in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency has criticized the Congress for not able to protect the life of the civilians.

Under the Congress led Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government in the state life and poverties of the civil populace could not protect and development has been badly hampered, the BJP Central who arrived in the state in connection with BJP election campaign said.

With the Central Election Committee announced that Loli Adanee will be fielded as BJP candidate in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, BJP will contest the elections in both the seats from the state, he further said.

Mention may be made that the party had already decided to field former chief minister of the state, W Nipamacha in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency.

Congress has also announced its candidatures in both the seats, Chandrasekhar said adding that but the candidate to be fielded in the outer seat is only for the name sake terming Mani Cheranamei, the sitting MP as "dummy" candidate of the Congress.

He strongly charged that Mani Cheranamei is a Congress man and the party is sending out its candidate (referring to Thangso Baite) only for the name sake.

Further criticizing sitting MP, Mani Cheranamei, he observed that during his five year term as independent MP, he extended support the Congress led UPA government at the Centre for his own sake even though he acted as opposition when come to the state.

"He is working under the shadow of the Congress always even though he won the election as independent candidate," he said.

All the states of the North Eastern Region ruling by Congress are unstable which in turn created chaos to the people he said adding "All the existing problems in the region are the creation of Congress".

Issues ahead of the people in the north eastern region of the country were the creation of the insincerity rule of the Congress in the region, BJP, organizational secretary North East in-Charge, Chandrasekhar said Tuesday.

On the law and order front, he said, people of the state have been kept in a awful condition as SFP government do not care of the life and security of the people.

Security force personnel are sending out free hand to do whatever they want keeping the civilians in the midst of atrocities meted out by both militants and government forces.

Rao also informed that the national Youth Morcha, Nawaj Ali Khan will be arriving in the state for campaign and added prominent leaders of the BJP are also likely to visit the state.

The secretary of the North East region for the BJP also pointed out that the recent killing of a shop owner in the heart of the Imphal city was a clear example of the continuous killing and the failure of law and order in the state in every front.

Rao also alleged that the political instability in some part of the North Eastern region had come about after the coming of the Congress to power in the region.

The BJP Manipur president Boro Babu held that the decision made by the Congress high command for selecting candidates for the poll in spite of the choice made by Ibobi led government has clearly showed that the state of Manipur is governed by Congress high command which according to him should be justified by the people.

Moreover, the ally of the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government, the Communist Party of India (CPI) Manipur has produce its own candidates is also another example of not being cooperative, he added.

Loli Adanee, the nominated candidate, while speaking during the conference asserted he was optimistic and believes in peace through development emotional integrity.

The candidate also informed that he will release his personal programme too.
