RPF and its armed wing PLA have given revolutionary salute to two of its slain cadres namely Pte Malemngakpa alias Loitongbam Sunil alias Abumo of Uripok Sorbon Thingel and Pte Hidel alias Mangsatabam Somorjit Meetei alias Inaocha of Luwangshangbam Awang Leikai who were killed by State police commandos in the morning of August 11.In a statement, assistant chief of department of communication and publicity of the outfit N Wangba asserted that the two cadres were killed after being arrested and tortured by the police commandos.
Comparing the police commandos to Subedar Khellendra, the outfit decried the attitude of the police commandos who allegedly think about accolades and credits, while citing the instance of Manipur Police Commando Officer Achouba and John flexing their muscles in front of the people to claim the credit of the arms seized from Takhel Khul.
The statement said Malemnganba was born on July 27, 1970 as fifth child of the seven siblings born to Loitongbam Naranbabu Singh and (late) Loitongbam Ongbi Landhoni Devi of Uripok Sorbon Thingel.
He studied upto class X and worked in a private bank to supplement income for the family and later he left home to join the revolutionary movement as he could not remain silent to the atrocities being committed by the enemies.
The statement further informed that Hidel was the only son of Mangsatabam Ibomcha Meetei and Mangsatabam Ongbi Purnima Leima of Luwangshangbam Awang Leikai.
After completing class XII from Liberal College, Luwangshangbam he joined the revolutionary movement while pursuing medical studies from All India Institute of Medical Technology, Chennai.
His father had been bedridden due to paralysis for the last 10 years, yet he became a revolutionary army after convincing his eldest sister to take up the responsibility of looking after his parent.
