Imphal, May 17: The unveiling ceremony of Jananeta Hijam Irabot�s bust was held at Nambol Municipal Bus Parking yesterday. the programme hosted by Jananeta Hijam Irabot Memorial Trust was graced by LDA Chairman N Loken as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, N Loken recalled of coming across numerous memorial site of Irabot being preserved by the people throughout the state and beyond which unarguably reflect prominent place occupied by the pioneer figure in the mind of the people.

Deploring that situation in Manipur is going from bad to worse every passing day, the chief guest attributed the chaotic social scenario to absence of a genuine public leader.

Unlike the past wherein people inquire whether thugs are on the move in case dogs bark, present day situation is the common citi-zens scampering for cover as such a barking is normally associated to presence of either UG cadres or security force personnel nearby, observed the Nambol AC MLA summing up the fear psychosis gripping the general public.

In his address as special invitee renown script writer Chana Lukhoi highlighted Irabot�s constant foray into distant locations both within and outside the State spreading message of love and brotherhood and inquiring their problems.
