The Paite Tribe Council (PTC), Jiri-Vangai Block in its executive meeting held at Vengnuam, Jiribam today decided not to cast vote in favour of any particular candidate in the two Assembly Constituencies of 40-Jiribam and 53-Tipaimukh in the 9th State Assembly election.
Announcing this in a statement, Council secretary L Khaidoukhup Ngaihte said every Paite residing in the Jiri-Vangai Block has been given the freedom to vote for the candidate of ones choice but suggested voting for the candidates who are genuinely interested in bringing peace and development in the region.
Any Paite who defy the neutral stance of the Council for the sake of monetary gains shall be severely dealt with, he further cautioned.
