Imphal, January 13: Security force personnel have arrested three activists of the PLA and PREPAK from different places yesterday.

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S) troops of the 32 Assam Rifles, based on specific information conducted search operation in Sawombung area resulting in the arrest of one suspected PLA activist identified as Laishram Bimol Singh (40) s/o L Lolito Singh of Sawombung.

In another incident, troops of 22 Maratha Light Infantry apprehended a PREPAK and another PLA cadre from Mayang Imphal Bazar area wherein the troops carried out search.

While the PREPAK cadres has been identified as Elangbam Vidyanand alias James (21) s/o Sarat Chandra of Wabagai the PLA member has been named as one Laishram Bobu (26) s/o L Mohendro of Sekmaijin.

All the three apprehended persons have been handed over to the police stations concerned, added the PRO statement.
