Ukhrul to be first beneficiary of Swajal Dharra

Imphal, May 08: The Integrated Forum has declared that Ukhrul is the only district in the whole of Manipur where development schemes like Swajal Dharna (Water sanitation programme) and Integrated Tribal Women Handloom Production under SGSY special programme are going to be implemented in the district.

Secretary of the forum Vareiyo Shatsang informed NNN today that the Integrated Forum appreciated Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Pal.

The Integrated Forum said that these schemes are going to be implemented in Ukhrul district solely due to the strong initiative taken up Pankaj Pal.

However, the Forum expressed its regret for failing to implement IAY schemes in Ukhrul district.

Giving the reason the forum said that since the utilisation documents had not been able to furnish by the Government the IAY schemes had not been implemented in the district.
