The Secretariat Academic Committee of Nippon Foundation, Tokyo Foundation Japan and Information and Resource Centre, Singapore have invited former PhD JNU SYLFF Fellow Kamei Aphun to participate in the international conference on "Building a Better Asia: Future Leaders' Dialogue" at Peking University, China from October 26 to November 2 .
Asian recipients of awards from the Nippon Foundation Groups will assemble at the conference and they will interact with top Asian leaders and intellectuals.
Kamei Aphun will represent India with another 20 resource persons from more than 13 Asian countries.
Kamei Aphun of Sangaiprou Rongmei colony, Imphal is currently teaching at the Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia, Islamia University, New Delhi.
Earlier he worked as a Visiting Fellow at Peking University, China under the Fellows Mobility Programme of Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund of Tokyo Foundation.
He was also awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru Young Leaders Fellowship under the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) of the Nippon Foundation and Tokyo Foundation, Japan in 2004 .
