Imphal, July 02: In two unrelated incidents, a KCP cadre and one sympathiser of PREPAK have been nabbed by security forces yesterday, informed a press release issued by SP Imphal West Clay Khongsai.

The KCP cadre identified as Thongam Joynanda alias Boycha alias Ngamba (31) of Khongnang Pheidekpi was nabbed from his locality at about 10 am by a combined team of Imphal West district police and 32 AR.

The PREPAK sympathiser identified as Yengkhom Ajit (29) of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai was arrested by a team of Imphal West district police at about 10:30 am from near his home.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by AR PRO informed that a PREPAK cadre was apprehended by troops of 34 AR from Tentha today and was handed over to Thoubal police station.

The cadre is identified as S/S Sgt Maj Thongam Raju alias Anand (26) of Tentha Khunou Bazar.

In another incident one KYKL cadre identified as Ng Damen (29) of Khuman Mayai Leikai was nabbed by troops of 22 MLI from his locality today.

He has been handed over to Nambol police station.

On the other hand, another UG cadre belonging to the UNLF was also apprehended by troops of 19 AR from Pukhao yesterday.

The cadre identified as N Bimol (36) of Pukhao Ahallup was handed over to Lamlai police station today, added the PRO release.
