Tamenlong DCC not happy with Gaikhangam's portfolio

Imphal, April 01: Conveying deep discontentment over the allotting the portfolios of Health and Family Welfare and Horticulture and Soil Conservation to MPCC president Gaikhangam, the District Congress Committee, Tamenlong has demanded that more suitable portfolios be allotted to him, conveyed a press release issued by the DCC.

Citing the relative backwardness of Tamenglong district and the size of Kabui/Rongmei population in both the hills and valley of Manipur, the DCC opined that the MPCC president may even be made the Chief Minister.
