Imphal, February 01 2010: A doctor who accidentally fell down from the building of his own house succumbed to the injuries at a private hospital here today.

According to police, Dr Irengbam Doren (55), who was an associate professor in Gynaecology Department of RIMS accidentally fell down from the building of his house at Lamdeng Khunou on the night of January 27 .

He was found lying unconsciousness in the morning of January 28 and admitted to Imphal Hospital for treatment.

From there he was referred to Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol where he passed away at around 11 am today.

The body has been handed over to his family members after post-mortem examination at RIMS.
