The failure of the State Government to appoint Hindi Graduate teachers recommended by DPC in 1999 is because of the suspension of fund grant by the central Government, clarified Education Minister Francis Ngajokpa in response to a query raised by MLAs L Ibomcha and M Nillachandra.
The Minister mentioned that after the suspension of grant in March 2002, the State Govt could not take up the liabilities of the posts because of the sick financial condition of the State.
As per a directive of a High Court, appointment of Hindi Graduate teachers of Aided High Schools has been suspended since 1995, added Ngajokpa.
During question hour, Chief Minister O Ibobi who is also in charge of MAHUD, disclosed that a plot of 4.5 acres of patta land under Planning and Development Authority lying unused at Game Village would be auctioned.
Responding to a query by MLA N Biren of Sekmai A/C, Ibobi added that the starting bid for the plot has been fixed at Rs 2 lakhs.
The beneficiaries of Special Employment Generation Scheme would not be delisted from the list of concerned Employment Exchanges, informed Ibobi in response to a query by MLA M Bhorot.He added that till date altogether 2480 persons have been granted loans under SEGP .
Replying to a question by ruling MLA Th Tomba, Minister of Labour, L Nandakumar noted that construction of ITI building at Kakching would be completed by August this year.
