Imphal, June 11: Village chiefs of Henglep and Thanlon Sub-Division and Army personnel came together yesterday at Tuilaphai to discuss the development activities upto Thanlon along NH-150.According to a PIB (DW) release, the meeting was attended by village chiefs of 30 villages of Sinouzang and Santing area.

During the meeting, the Commanding Officer of the Army unit deployed in Tuila area assured the villagers of arrival of basic amenities as peace is returning to the area.

He informed them that with co-ordination of district administration, public distribution system will be brought as forward as Shingmun so that villagers of interior area could also be benefited.

He also apprised them of the development work being undertaken by the civil administration in Tuila and adjoining area.

The village chiefs were very thankful to the Army that SDO Henglep will start functioning from Tuilaphai so that their grievances and needs may be attended on priority.
