Imphal, April 30: The week-long 'Education for All (EPA)' under the theme of 'Send my friend to school' organised by the office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Saikul concluded today.

During the essay writing and painting competition which was held yesterday at Thangtong Higher Secondary School, Saikul, founder and secretary of Model English Higher Secondary School H Touthana, SDC Saikul Y Baite and DI of Schools.

Saikul K Nabakishore Singh were chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.

In the essay writing competition for the category of class VI to VIII, L Kamminlen Khongsai of Model English Higher Secondary School andNengneikirn Lupheng of LL Henjou English High School secured the first and second position respectively.

While the third position was shared jointly by Doushanglen Khongsai of LL Henjou English High School and Taorem Yaiphabi of Model English Higher Secondary School.

In the category for class IX to X, Paokhomang Touthang of Thangtong Higher Secondary School, Veineihat Chongloi of Model English Higher Secondary School and Seikholen Khongsai, also of Model English Hr Sec School won the first, the second and the third position respectively.

In the painting competition, Lungkhomang Touthang of Thangtong Hr Sec-School and Neishi Khongsai of LL Henjou English High School secured the first and the second position respectively in the category for class I to III.

The third place was jointly shared by Tonggoulen Misao and Ngainu Khongsai, both students of Model English Higher Secondary School.

While in the painting competition for the category for class IV to V, Letgoulen Khongsai of LL Henjou English High School won .

the first position, Lhilhing Haolai of Thangtong Hr Sec School won the second position and Yangkhohao and Nengnei Karong, both students of LL Henjou English High School shared the third position.

On the same day, Kala Jatha was performed in and around the Headquarters area.

About 500 students from various schools participated in the Rally which was flagged off by SDO Saikul and led by chief guest, guest of honour and functional president.
