Imphal, April 17: Manipur Association for Science and Society (MASS) and Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC) in association with Generation De New Image (GENIM) would be organising Vigyan Jatha under the initiation of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Govt of India as part of the programme of Celebration of the Year of Scientific Awareness, 20004 for the Bishnupur district.

This unique scientific event is scheduled to kick off from April 19 at Ningthoukhong High School, Ningthoukhong.

The programme would comprise of popular scientific talk, scientific explanation of miracles, science exhibition, water, food and soil testing, poster exhibition, spot quiz, puppetry, film show, etc.

Science congress: The Science Teachers� Forum, Manipur has started the preparation for organising the State level 13th National Children�s Science Congress, 2005 with the support of RVPSP/NCSTC, New Delhi and Dept of Science and Technology, Govt of Manipur.

This year�s theme of the science congress is �Harness water resources for better future�.

Children of 10 to 17 years of age can participate at this activity.

The participants have to choose projects of their own under the given theme and take up the projects for presentation at a given level, District/ State/National.
