Imphal, August 31: Students' Union of Presidency College, Motbung in association with Thadou Stu- dents' Association, Sadar Hills District Committee, Motbung Village Authority, Motbung Youth Club, Saitu Gamphajol Area Village Organisation expressed strong resentment on transfer of Presidency College Principal K Gopal Singh.

Highlighting disadvantages faced by the students due to frequent transfer of principals in the past few years the bodies also drew the attention of authority concerned to revoke the transfer order of K Gopal Singh till his full term which is only six months away.

the Students' Union of the College also decided to close the college from September 1 for an indefinite period till the authority concerned respond positively to demand for revocation of the transfer order.
