Imphal, August 30:
While expressing grave concern over the rampant violent activities resorted by the NSCN factions, the 'assembly affairs' of Poumai Naga Hoho or Poumai Masou Me (PMM) has reminded to the warring Naga militant outfits that the Poumai apex body would severe its relation with any outfit in the Poumai jurisdiction that does not shun the path of violence as per the February 28, 2008 resolution of the Poumai body.
It also said that with the Naga reconciliation, unity and peace process underway in Chiangmai, Thailand, the Poumai Masou Me (Poumai Naga Hoho) has appealed to all factions of the NSCN to shun violence lest it hampers the peace process.
PS Shelavi, Secretary of Assembly Affairs, Poumai Masou Me then informed that as per a by-election held on August 29 at Senapati Tunggam village, Dr PT Hitson Josho and Ashipri Zho have been elected President and Speaker respectively of the Puomai Masou Me.
