Imphal, December 28:
Ist Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) organised an educational tour to Delhi and Amritsar for the underprivileged and orphaned youth of Kamjong sub-division on December 4.Youths drawn from various villages of the sub-division and belonging to both the ethnic communities of Tangkhuls and Kukis participated in the tour which was flagged off by Maj Gen BK Chengapa, IGAR (S).
In Delhi, they visited Rail Museum, Nehru Planetarium, Jantra Mantra, Lotus Temple and India Gate and while at Amritsar, they visited Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple and Wagah Border.
The education tour returned back to Kamjong on December 24.
