Imphal, Jul 28: Number of job seekers in Manipur who are in the live register of the various employment exchanges upto June this year has reached 5,58,778, according to information given by Directorate of Employment Exchange, Lamphelpat.

The number of job seekers till May was 5,59,433, thus indicating an increase of 1439 within one month.

The number of job seekers registered in various employment exchanges in the month of June are 243 including 116 female in Imphal East.

The total number of job seekers in the live register of Imphal East Employment Exchange has no reached 77,694 which include 56,208 male and 21,486 female.

In the month of June, 319 job seekers including 152 females registered their names in employment exchange of the Imphal West District, thus totalling the number of job seekers in the live register of the Employment Exchange of Imphal West to 1,97,360 which include 1,38,596 male and 58,764 female.

In Thoubal district, a total of 151 job seekers including 53 registered their names in June.

The total number job seekers in the live register of the Employment Exchange of Thoubal district stood at 81,740 including 54,767 male and 16,973 female.

The total number of job seekers registered in the Bishnupur Employment Exchange in June is 55 including 24 females and the total number of job seekers in the live register of the Exchange is now 50,810 which include 37,732 male and 13,078 female.

In Churachandpur district, a total of 133 new job seekers including 72 females registered their name in June and the total number of job seekers in the live register of the employment exchange of the district pegged at 50,212 including 34,579 male and 11,533 females.

As for the Employment Exchange of Ukhrul district, a total of 106 job seekers including 55 females registered their names in June and the total number of job seekers in the live register of the Exchange has reached 21,728 including 15,24 male and 5204 female.

In Senapati, in all 45 job seekers including 22 female registered their names in the employment exchange in June.

With that the total number of job seekers in the live register of the employment exchange stood at 40,182 which include 29,866 female and 10,315 female.

The total number of job seekers newly registered in the Chandel District Employment Exchange in June is 272 including 123 females.

The total number of the job seekers in the live register of the employment exchange as now become 17,724 including 12,673 male and 5,051 female.

In Tamenglong district, a total of 112 job seekers including 51 females registered their names in the employment exchange in June and the total number of job seekers enrolled in the live register of the employment exchange of the district is now become 16,120 including 12,594 male and 3,526 female.

Apart from this, three persons including two females registered their names in the Special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped in June and the total number of job seekers registered in its live register stood at 2030 and in UEI & GB, the total number of job seekers registered is 3174.
