Imphal, September 27: Drawing the attention of the Government to the deplorable condition of the PWD road from Chandrakhong to Kasom Block, Khamlang Baptist Church, Ukhrul district has appealed to the authorities concerned for taking up necessary steps for improvement of the said road.

Although the distance between the two points of the road is only 32 kms, it takes over hour and half hours to travel on the road with the tyres of the passenger buses buried fully in the mud, Pastor of the Church P Ninshen informed in a statement, adding that there is also no drainage system to allow the rain water to stop from overflowing on the road.
