Imphal, August 24: A PREPAK cadre and a PLA cadre were apprehended by Imphal East commandos in the last 48 hours in separate incidents, informed SP Imphal East L Kailun.

The PREPAK cadre identified as Sagolsem Ibomcha alias Ranjit alias Thawailemba (29) of Kakwa Selungba Leikai was nabbed from Keishampat (Thoubal bus parking) at about 3 pm yesterday.

The PLA cadre was apprehended during frisking at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi at about 10.30 am today.

He is identified as Ningthoujam Yaima alias Pari (23) of Thiyam Konjil Mayai Leikai, added the release.

Meanwhile, Imphal West SP Clay Khongsai informed of arresting two PLA cadres from different places by commandos today.

While S/S Sgt Maj Mutum Anand alias Raju alias Kishan (31) was pulled up from the house of one RK Momo (35) of Kwakeithel Akham Leikai along with two mobile phones and an identity card issued by MU, the other cadre was nabbed from near DTO office Imphal and is identified as Oinam Kiran alias Nongthang (38) of Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai.

Moreover, two cadres of the UNLF were also apprehended by Imphal West commandos from Uripok Achom Leikai.

They are identified as S/S Cpl Mayengbam Nanao alias Narasing alias Kiran (27) of Changangei Awang Leikai and RK Dhaneshwor alias Mobicha (32) of Naoremthong Laishram Leikai.

One laptop, a pen drive, some incriminating documents relating to UNLF and a mobile phone handset were recovered from their possession.
