Imphal, May 21:
Raising serious concern over the resentment of KSO Chandel against the Unapproved Primary Teachers' Association Under Chandel Autonomous District Council as published in this paper today, the association appealed to the student organisation to understand the plight of 144 teachers who have suffered long without receiving salaries for their services.
A statement issued by the association conveyed of repeated assurances given by authority concerned for regularisation of their services under ADC, Chandel which never materialised.
It asked the student body to treat the matter with due importance and not to level any unfounded charges against them in the light of the prolonged suffering.
The association neither jeopardised the recent DPC nor forced it to postpone.
The postponement was done in the discretion of the authority concerned after taking into account of the genuine grievances of the unapproved teachers, maintained the statement while observing that the allegation of KSO Chandel was uncalled for.
