Imphal, November 18: Strongly condemning the slaying of Ningthoujam Binoy alias Khaiba of Kairenphabi by police commandos, the Working Committee of the Apunba Lup has categorically described the inhumane act as unveiling of State sponsored terrorism�s true facets.

It also opined that human rights violation committed by the security personnel is yet another manifestation of Central Govt�s hidden agenda under the mask of democracy and doubted that under such circumstance safety of innocent citizens is a far fetched dream.

Questioning rationale of the State authorities� inaction inspite of clear evidence that Binoy was shot dead after arrest moments after being released from jail, the Lup prevailed upon the Government to initiative punitive action against the guilty personnel before the situation goes out of hand.

The Lup also took grim note of disappearance of four Thang-Ta functionaries from Ukhrul Bazar area since October 30 and urged civil society organisations and NGOs of the district to make all out effort in tracing and safe return of the missing persons - Santham Jiten, Longjam Devan, Heisnam Naoba and longjam Arun.

Meanwhile, the body also condemned injuries caused to Hemam Somendro and hijam Sanjit in an incident that took place at Churachandpur district on November 10.While appealing to armed activists to refrain from targeting innocent civilians, it conveyed of praying for the speedy recovery of the injured duo.
