Asserting that the Zeliangrong people of South zone Manipur cannot remain in isolation from the Zeliangrong common platform and Naga mainstream, the Zeliangrong Baudi, South Zone has stated that leaders and village representatives of 20 villages out of 31 villages in the South zone have decided to support the Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) as its apex body.
In a statement, the secretary of Zeliangrong Baudi, South Zone Manipur said that the villages have decided to support the Baudi because Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) has been recognised and affiliated to the Naga Hoho, United Naga Council has also recognised and affiliated Zeliangrong Baudi as its constituent unit in Manipur and the Tenymi Central Union has also recognised Zeliangrong Baudi as its constituent unit.
A steering committee for Zeliangrong Baudi, South Zone has also been constituted said the statement and added that Zeliangrong Baudi is a continuation of the then Zeliangrong Union (AMN).
The statement also appealed to all concerned not to make an issue/controversy.
