Patriots Day observed in Jiribam

Imphal, August 16: Along with unveiling of the busts of Bir Tikendrajit, Thangal General and Paona Brajabashi and inauguration of the Ancestral Heroes Memorial Complex at Ningshing Khun, Jiribam on August 13, the 116th Patriots Day was also observed as in other parts of the State and beyond.

Moreover foundation stone for Ningshing Khun Bio-Diversity Park which will be constructed by the Environment and Ecology Wing in association with the Pari Puri Athouba Ningshing Lup (PPANL) was also laid on the day, informed a press release issued by the Lup.

PPANL conveyed gratitude to all the people from Manipur and beyond who came to attend the observation at Jiribam including Minister of Revenue, Forest and Environment and Law Th Debendra and Deputy Speaker Th Shyam who graced the observance as chief guest and special guest respectively.

It also extended its gratitude to all the Departments, social organisations and transport societies who helped in the successful observation of the Patriots Day.
