Imphal, February 10: Thoubal Police Commandos have apprehended two underground activists from different parts of the district yesterday.

According to a statement issued by SP of Thoubal District Th Radheshyam today, the PREPAK activist identified as Wangkheimayum Boy Singh (35) s/o Churamani of Yairipok Mayai Leikai was arrested from his own locality at around 9 am yesterday.

On verification, Boy disclosed that he joined the organisation in November 2005 through one Sidaba of PREPAK and he had collected Rs 1,12,000 as party fund which he handed over the same to one Rocky, who is the Thoubal district commander of the outfit.

While the other underground activist belonging to NSCN (I-M) identified as Machinao Remi Tangkhul (23) s/o late Makhinao Thingaini of Phungyar, Ukhrul district was arrested from Pallel at around 10 am yesterday.

On verification, Machinao disclosed that he is an active member of the outfit and his army no.is 24343 and completed training at Poulu Gellili in Nagaland as 27th batch in 2007 after which he has been working as a tax collector from vehicles plying from Imphal to Moreh under Lt Angam of NSCN (I-M) of Senapati district.
