Following the written assurance of the Education S Commissioner that 12 teachers have been transferred and posted to Tenkhojang Higher Secondary School and will report for duty soon, the Tenkhojang Higher Secondary School Students' Union has decided to suspend the bandh imposed on NH-53 with immediate effect.
The student body had imposed the bandh demanding adequate teachers from 5.30 pm of July 3.In a statement, the student body however said that their demand for a construction of approach road from NH-53 to the school, boys hostel construction, school library still stands and warned that if the Government reneges on its assurance, the strike will resume.
