The management and staff of The Sangai Express have deeply condoled the demise of its Chandel correspondent Mothang Koko Maring, who passed away yesterday at about 8.30 pm at JN Hospital after a brief illness.
Koko Maring started contributing to The Sangai Express a little over two years back and he also contributed to The Imphal Free Press as well as The Eastern Mirror.
Hailing from Sandang-shenba Maring Khul, Koko was the third child amongst five siblings and was born to M Mepham Maring and Tungnai.
At the time of his death, he was a BA III year student at United College, Chandel and passed his HSLC examination from Elite High School, Wangkhei.
The last rites of Koko Maring was performed at his native place today.
Condoling his death, the management and staff of The Sangai Express observed a two minute silence last light and prayed for the departed soul.
They also share the grief and pain of the bereaved family members.
The Editors' Forum, Manipur also held a condolence meeting today at 4 pm at the office of The Sangai Express.
