Imphal, October 21:
A number of candidates who applied for the Security Assistant (Executive) posts (20) of the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) have been rejected despite the applicants attaching OBC certificates to conform with the age limit.
Press sources reminded of advertisement published in State dailies as well as in Employment Exchange (July) edition for the said posts clearly indicating provision of upper age limit relaxation in case of OBC applicants.
In the said advertisement written test for the SA posts is slated for October 23 with the age criteria put at 18-27 years and subsequent age bar relaxation in consonance with recruitment rules of Government of india regarding SC/ST/OBC etc, candidates, said the source.
Asserting that applicants yet to cross 30 years and furnishing relevant certificates should be allowed to appear in the test as per recruitment prescription, some disgruntled SA aspirants cast doubt on sincerity and integrity of SIB officials in charge of recruitment in the State.
Non accommodation of candidates who applied in accordance with the recruitment advertisement regulations not only deserves explanation from the intelligence agency functioning under the Union Home Ministry but is also a major morale setback to educated employed youths, lamented some rejected candidates.
