Imphal, November 08: Expressing strong resentment at lack of positive response from authority concern to demand for opening an SBI branch at Bishnupur district headquarters, the Forum of Bishnupur District Government Employees submitted memoranda to Minister Govindas Konthoujam and the district�s Deputy Commissioner on the issue.

The representation highlighting inconveniences faced the State Government employees as well as people of the district questioned indifferent attitude of authorities concerned who had been detailed and apprised on difficult situation besetting the general public due to absence of SBI branch in the district headquarters.

The people�s problem is getting complex with each passing day as salary transactions and other financial matters currently being carried out in the UCO Bank, Bishnupur is far from satisfaction, said the Forum in a statement issued to the press.

Ruing the fact that inspite of resolution adopted in the State Level Bankers� Meet held on May 16, 2005 at the State Guest House no concrete action is being initiated by authority concerned, the Forum cautioned that disheartened Bishnupur district public would be compelled to launch agitation in case the issue is not addressed within December end.

SISI campaign: The Small Industries Service Institute organised a one day Intensive Motivation Campaign at Khurai today for the benefit of educated unemployed youths of the area, said a release.

The campaign was held with DM College of Science Principal Th Bedamani Devi and SISI, Imphal Director SK Sahu as the chief guest and president respectively.

Topics covered in the campaign programme include practical demonstration on preparation of Amla Supari, Amla herbal hair oil, tomato sauce, ginger candy and cake.
