Imphal, October 28: A one-day seminar on natural skin and hair care was organised by Beauty Basics by NAZ Training Institutions at the conference hall of Nirmala Hotel here today.

Inaugurating the seminar, programme convenor Dr RK Ratankumar Singh said the main reason behind organising the seminar is to impart knowledge of the various new techniques for skin and hair care and to create awareness of herbal and organic products among the people.

Conduting the seminar as resource person, Dermatologist of RIMS Dr Th Brajakishore spoke on the topic of 'Acne Lesion' and said pimples affect the skin of the person, so those who have pimples should not take it likely and the doctors should also look after such cases properly.

Although skin eruption and pimples among the adolescence boys and girls is very common, they should consult a skin specialist in case the problem persist, Dr Brajakishore explained, adding that as far as possible, pimples should not be pricked and use of oil should be stopped along with keeping the affected skin areas neat and clean.

Consumption of food rich in carbohydrate content, heat and mental stress are some of the factors causing eruption of pimples, the Dermatologist explained.

Around 200 beauticians coming from different districts of the State participated in th seminar during which principal of Naz Institution, New Delhi Tapty Choudhury presented demonstration on skin care.
