Imphal, December 27: A combined team of 39 AR, BSF and Imphal East District Commandos reportedly launched massive combing operation in various places like Nongren, Happy Valley, Oksu, Laikoiching, etc.

However, there is no report of any arrest made during the operation.

However, while returning back after the operation, some of the security personnel allegedly punched Venchuri Saiza, who is the clerk of Happy Valley Baptist Church and snatched Rs 400 from his possession which is actually the fund of the church.

Afterward, the security personnel reportedly handed over Rs 500 to the church as Christmas gift.

MAFYF president Sapamcha Kangleipal has decried the conduct of the security personnel.

According to another report, exchange of firing broke out between the armed cadres of KCP (MC) and KNA at a place between Thamnapokpi which is under Lamlai PS and Saimol village which is under Saikul Police Station at around 7 pm today.

There is no report of any casualty till the filing of this report.
