Imphal, December 24: Conveying deep concern over the multitude of criminal activities which have become a daily affair in the State, the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has condemned the recent murder attempt on Kangla Pao editor Paonam Labango, the heartless murder of Ichal and the kidnapping of two school going kids in Senapati district.

A statement issued by MSF noted that it has become a custom for armed groups to disown their cadres if they were involved in harassing or attacking in media persons.

The armed groups would cook up some fabricated allegations to pronounce that their own guilty cadres were working against them once people raised strong voice of protest and if people came to know certain clues about the identity of the culprits.

All the people have agreed to the fact that the murder attempt on Kangla Pao editor was a criminal act perpetrated by demented minds.

The student body also castigated the failure of the individuals/group concerned to come out with a definite reason to justify their attempt to murder the editor.

Had the attackers succeeded in eliminating Labango in the night of December 20, the killers would have come out with a lenghty charges against the editor through media to support the murder.

However, as Labango survive the murder attempt, the individuals/group involved in the attempt have been silenced as if they have no valid reason to justify their action, observed MSF.

Asserting that the State Government and the people should never allow the kidnappers of two school kids ever go scot free, it urged the State Government to use all its available resources to save the two innocent children and to avert such acts of terrorism in future.

The two kids were kidnapped from Senapati Bazar for ransom on December 14.MSF further urged all the people to hunt down the rapists and murderers of Ichal if they don't want any other girl to meet the same fate of Ichal at the hands of such savages.

The people should take a collective resolution to punish the heartless criminals in a fitting manner.

As for MSF, it has made all preparations to extend all possible cooperation to any movement launch by the people to deliver justices in all these cases of highly despiseable criminal activities, declared the statement.
