A 'Youths integrity and work residential camp' which will go on for three days under the auspices of United Clubs Organisation of Bishnupur District (UCOBID) has begun from today at Ningthoukhong Kha Mamang Indoor Stadium.
In all 150 campers, both male and female, belonging to various communities are taking part in the camp which was inaugurated by MLA of Thanga A/C T Mangibabu Singh as chief guest, MLA of Bishnupur A/C Govindas Konthoujam as functional president and Chief Engineer of NHPC, Loktak Project M Lalmani Singh as guest of honour.
In his address, Mangibabu said youth are the future of the society .
So it is essential to inculcate them the habit of leading a healthy lifestyle and seek knowledge.
Organising such camps would help in showing the right direction to the youth.
In his presidential address, Govindas observed that emotional integration is a must in a State like Manipur inhabited by various communities.
So everyone should work toward promotion of emotional integration among the people.
Many resource persons also spoke on various relevant topics before winding up the inaugural function of the camp with presentation of cultural dances and songs.
