Imphal, September 19: In separate incidents four UG cadres were apprehended by different units of Assam Rifles in the last 48 hours, informed an AR PRO release.

One PREPAK cadre identified as W Dhojo alias Suresh (25) of Tera Pishak and a KYKL activist identified as Asharanjit alias Deevi alias Tarzan (20) of Tera Pishak were apprehended by troops of 21 AR from Wangjing Khunou yesterday.

Both of them have been handed over to Kakching police incident.

In another incident, troops of 34 AR nabbed another KYKL cadre identified as S/S Sgt Yenkokpam Rameshwar alias Chinku (32) of Athokpam Makha Leikai from Haokha yesterday.

He has been handed over to Thoubal PS.

On the other hand, one KCP cadre who was driving a Maruti vehicle (MN-01 A 6328) was apprehended by 24 AR at its vehicle check post at Khudengthabi yesterday along with 94 rounds of AK 47 ammunition.

The cadre identified as S/S Sgt Noor Khan (50) of Khomeidok Ipum Mapal has been handed over to Imphal West police station together with the seized items, it added.
