Imphal, November 18: The ninth general assembly of Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) will be held on November 20 and 21 at Tarung, Imphal under the theme: �The pride of youth�.

In the welcome function LP Gonmei, IAS commissioner (taxation) and Ningtangpou Kamei, president Zeliangrong Union (AMN) will grace the function as Chief Guest and functional president respectively.

In the valedictory function, Akhiam Panmei, IAS commissioner (Excise), will grace the function as Chief Guest.

ZYF general secretary Romeo Palmei said that several delegates comprising of ZU, ZYF, AZSU, ZSUM officials, prominent Zeliangrong leaders, social workers, missionaries, intellectuals, students, youth clubs and various social organization from different part of the state were invited and expected to attend the said Assembly.

Election of new office bearers for the term 2006-09 and working out various development programme for the well being of Zeliangrong people will be the agenda of top priority during the general Assembly, according its general secretary Romeo Palmei.

Some of the main special features at the end of the meeting will highlight Zeliangrong cultural dance, musical concert by K Jiangam and party, special number by Tazeikhuan (Sunday Tunah) from Tamenglong with cultural bonanza �Pazeimei� including folk song, talent display etc.

The delegates for the general assembly will arrive on Novmember 20 from different parts of the State.

In order to organise the general Assembly successfully, the ZYF appealed to all organization/Association of Manipur not to call any bandh or general strike during the general assembly.
