Imphal, August 16:
Eight cadres of the KLA/KLO led by its chairman T Joshua have resigned from the outfit with immediate effect.
In a statement, the outfit said that the resignation was decided during a meeting held at Saichang on August 11. The others who resigned from the outfit along with T Joshua included, Pu Ralngam, Pu Jack (Milan), Pu Boy and G Loveson.
Giving reasons for resignation, the statement signed by Andy Kuki, of the publicity department said that Thunder Kuki was first placed under suspension for his immoral conduct.
However instead of reforming himself, he staged a coup and eliminated the chief of the KLA Letkhonlun.
It was this development within the outfit that made to decide to resign, said the statement further.
The statement further said that the Thunder Kuki was patronised by an ex-MLA who supplied him with arms and ammunition.
It was surprising to read that the charges against Thunder was negated by Kingson.
Seeing all these, the chairman and his men lost hope in the movement and decided to resign, it added.
Politicians should stop using the KLA for their electoral gains, said the statement and added that if this continues it would amount to betraying the fore fathers.
