Imphal, November 07 2009:
Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) denounced the termination order issued on November 1 and signed jointly by C-in-C incharge Khaikam Touthang, home secretary Khaikholam Touthang alias K Winson and defence secretary Douginson Touthang.
In a statement, information and publicity secretary of the outfit Armstrong Kuki asserted that the apex advisory board and the cabinet officers of the party have no knowledge about the termination order of the two cabinet ranking finance secretary Ngambom and centre administrative officer (CAO/PRO) Simon Kuki and two other officers namely Captain George and Lt Henmang alias Tiger along with some cadres.
Termination can be done only when the cabinet has taken a decision with the consent of the higher authority advisory board.
While appealing to CAO/PRO Simon to withdraw his decision of leaving the party, Armstrong also urged the signatories of the termination order to withdraw the order with immediate effect in the interest of rebuilding the organisation.
There is no looting or stealing of weapons in the party but Ngambom, finance secretary/cabinet and some army officers have only seized all the properties, armstrong clarified, while informing that party would approach the higher authority of KNO with the approval of the advisory board so that KNO president will issue appointment order and the C-in-C takes oath in the hands of KNO.
Announcing that leadership of Khaikam Touthang, C-in-C incharge has been abolished and banned, Armstrong further said that every financial matter should be now negotiated through Ngambom Kuki and anyone found contributing even a single paise without the permission of Ngambom would be fined double the amount.
