With members present in yesterday's biennial general body meeting of Manipur Secretariat Services Association adequately highlighting various grievances of the employees, the Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh has consequently issued orders to relevant officials for necessary perusal and appropriate action.
according to an informed source, employee's despair on delay in holding DPCs for filling up different posts in the Secretariat figured prominently which led to Jarnail Singh instructing GAD authorities to follow the time schedule.
the chief Secretary insisted that all officials from Section Officer upto Commissioners/Secretaries complete ACRs of staff/drivers working under them in the Secretariat within May 10, 2006.In case, the officials who are to write/review or accept the ACRs are not available or have retired, special assessment report for that period should be written by the GAD and DP with both asked to check necessary process meet the stipulated date, the source cited the Chief Secretary as instructing.
failure to comply to the instruction might result in the officials concerned having to complete the assigned task in the annexe attached to the Chief Secretary's office as a special drive, said the source.
DPCs for all posts in the Secretariat need to be fixed and completed within May 31 in accordance with Jarnail Singh's instruction, added the source.
