Imphal, April 30: The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has distributed kerosene oil to students staying at hostels and rented houses at five different places today.

At the main gate of Manipur University, MSF distributed to the hostellers and other students of the University.

Likewise kerosene oil was made available to DM College students at its canteen.

Students staying at tribal hostel of GP Women's College were also provided at the college gate.

Hostellers of Central Agricultural University, Iroishemba and to inmates of SC/ST Boys' Hostel of MBC and Adimjati, Chingmeirong.

About 15 barrels of kerosene were distributed today at those five places.

Taking into consideration of the availability of the commodity and the number of students from place to place, each student got 2 to 4 litres at the rate of Rs 13 per litre.

According to the wish of the people, MSF would continue distribution of kerosene oil, said a volunteer of the student body.

However due to some misunderstanding, many people other than students came for the commodity with vessels in their hands only to turn back empty handed as kerosene oil was provided only to students.

The distribution of kerosene at the five different places of the State by the volunteers of MSF started from 10 am continued till about 3:30 pm.
