A press statement of the Churachandpur District Students' Union issued today claimed that the district quota of SK oil could not be lifted due to interference and demand by one underground group.
The student union that incidentally has all along been toiling to rectify the malfunctioning of the district quota of PDS has in addition appealed to the concern organization to desist from interfering in matters relating to the basic needs of the common people and to immediately release the SK Oil quota without any further delay.
Though the CDSU refrain from naming the true identity of the underground group it accuseed the particular group of impeding the SK Oil.
It maintained that the union would not remain a silent spectator as any such unwarranted interference is against the rights of the people of Churachandpur.
Meanwhile, Zomi Students Federation has declared the inclusion of all Government related activities and programme in its ongoing agitation as the Government still fails to settle all pending ex-gratia in the district.
As an initial agitation the federation has already declared boycott of Government vehicles since Sept 22.�Further delay by the Government to meet the demand may result in unwanted incidents", the federation said in its press handout later today.
It is worth mentioning that the volunteers of ZSF, in the recent past, ransacked the police station here, burnt part of the building and torched numerous vehicles within the campus.
