Imphal, September 24: With the objective of bringing peace in Moreh town, a peace rally was organised by the Kuki Students' Organisation, Moreh Block on September 21, informed a KSO release.

The rally participated by more than 1500 students was flagged off by AMESCO general secretary Nando and HTC member Mangminlen at 8 am.

In the afternoon at 2 pm, the closing ceremony of Inter School Sports Meet 2007 was celebrated with AMESCO president LS Guite and HTC president Jangmang and community leaders of Moreh as chief guest, functional president and guests of honour respectively.

The KSO Moreh Block has also conveyed gratitude to AMESCO, Tamil Sangam, HTC and other well wishers for donating trophies and cash towards the sports meet and the peace rally, added the release.
