MLA of Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency Thokchom Lokeshore has pledged to put pressure on the State Government for looking after lack of development in his Constituency in various fronts.
The young MLA stated this after inspecting the condition of the existing Government offices and other infrastructural needs in his Constituency today.
The inspection tour of the MLA covered the suspension bridges which are under construction at four different places over Iril river, the road condition and Government offices.
During the course of inspecting the suspension bridges which are under construction, the MLA also took note of the dilapidated condition of the existing bridge at Uympok and assured that he would bring up the matter to the notice of the Government so that necessary instructions can be given to the officials concerned improving the condition of the bridge.
After inspecting the condition of the roads in his Constituency, specially the stretch of the State Highway from PungdongbamDolaithabi Road and Imphal-Sagolmang-Saikul Road, the MLA informed that he would submit a proposal to the Minister and other authorities concerned for taking up necessary measures for developing these roads at the earliest possible.
While inspecting the building of the SDC Sagolmang, whgich had been constructed very recently, the MLA expressed dissatisfaction over lack of quality control in the construction work and assured that he would approach the Minister concerned for taking up necessaru action in this regard.
The MLA also assured the people that he would also prevail upon the authorities concerned in connection with looking after the infrastructural requirements of the existing Government schools in his Constituency.
Executive Engineer of of Public Works Department (PWD), Imphal East Division and other officials accompanied the MLA during the inspection.
