Imphal, June 23 2010: An order related with the declaration of DPC results for appointment of primary teachers to fill vacant posts in government schools found missing when the same was about to stick on the notice board.

The order for declaration of the DPC result was issued by director of education (s), M Harekrishna on April 22 last.

The order was issued by the director in consultation with the government higher authorities and with all necessary procedures after the bye-election to the Yaiskul Kendra was over.

Copies of the order were furnished to all head of office concern like the secretary to Governor, secretary to Chief Minister, PS to minister education, commissioner vigilance, accountant general, principal secretary (finance) and others.

As per the order issued on April 22 last, a total of 512 candidates were from the general category and out of them, 277 were female candidate.

Another 51 candidates were in the waiting list.

The results also declared list 322 candidates selected for the scheduled tribe category with another 32 candidates in the waiting list.

For the OBC, 117 candidates declared successful with another 18 in the waiting list.

For the schedule case 21 candidates cleared the DPC and two were in the waiting list.

The order of the director also included list of 33 candidates for the post of Hindi primary teachers with another 11 from the OBC category.

In short, the declared DPC result was for around 2000 including reserved seats for the ST, SC and OBC.

It was observed the order for declaration of results of the DPC can be treated as officially valid one as it was signed by the director, who is the head of the department and also the appointing authority.

How the order copy found missing at the last minute of displaying to the notice board for wide publicity is still a mystery one.

A highly reliable source said that the result was kept concealed after some minister lodged complaint with the Chief Minister stating that in the declared results their "quotas" were not included.

The order copies distributed to the other officials concern were also later re-collected.

At the time of declaring the DPC result, state education minister L Jayentakumar as well as director of education were not in Imphal.

He was in New Delhi even though the reason behind his visit in the national capital could not be known.

However, it was talked of some sections that he was out of station after some misunderstanding surface at the time of finalizing the list of the candidates to be selected.

For the time being, it could not be confirmed from the source whether the order issued by the director with regard to the DPC result will still be a valid one or not.
