21 oil tankers reach Imphal

Imphal, August 14 2010: Much relief to people of Manipur, 128 loaded trucks including 21 oil takers under the security coverage of Central Paramilitary Forces have reached Imphal through Imphal Dimapur Road yesterday and today.

Report said that under the security coverage of Central Paramilitary Forces (CRPF) 38 trucks including 6 LPG bullet vehicles, 1 oil tanker, 21 other vehicles reached Imphal through NH 39 today and another 90 loaded trucks including 20 oil tankers, 10 LPG bullet vehicles, 2 LPG cylinder carrying trucks, other 59 vehicles carrying essential items entered Imphal through NH 39 yesterday.

However, due to poor road condition in Imphal Jiri road around 208 vehicles are still reported to be stranded at Jiribam.
