Imphal, May 03:
Taking serious note of the indifferent attitude of Additional Director of Education (U), the Trainees' Union of DM College of Teacher Education has warned that the Additional Director and teachers undergoing boycott stir would be accountable for jeopardising the careers of the trainees.
A statement issued by the Union informed that despite repeated appeals to withdraw the boycott stir against the Principal in charge of the College in view of B Ed exams and admission for new session, there has been no positive response so far.
Alleging that despite a stay order on the appointment of the Principal in addition to a directive for appointment of caretaker, the Teachers Educator Association (TEA) go on with its stir without giving any thought to the plight to the trainees and career of a large number of trainees.
Such irresponsible attitude of the TEA compelled the trainees to counter boycott the TEA, asserted the Union.
Observing that had the Additional Director of Education (U) assumed the charge of caretaker in time, it noted that there would not have been exam boycott nor the general secretary would have been hurt.
Maintaining that the responsibility of trainees who boycotted the exams and failed to appear in the said exams following the assault on the general secretary should be borne by the Additional Director.
If he fails to own this responsibility, the Union would launch various forms of strong agitation against the Additional Director, cautioned the Trainees' Union.
