Imphal, June 29: Many social organizations of Thangmeiband areas have come out strongly against the decision of the Govt to abolish Thangmeiband School and amalgamate it with Tombisana High School by strongly contending that is against the wishes of the people.

In a joint statement, Peace and Humanity Labour Youths' Organization (PHYLO), Youth Development Organization (YUDO), Apunba Naharol Yaipha Thousil Kanglup, Lalambung Makhong Youth Volunteers' Association, Kangjabi Leirak Youth Club, Rising Knowledge Club, Voluntary Development Organization, Khwai Nagamapal Women's Nishaband Association, Moirangpokpa Meira Paibi Lup and Thangmeiband Women's Organization have demanded revocation of the Government order and warned of intense agitation if the Government do not heeded to the demand of the people.
